May I request my friends and seniors to enlighten me whether MRI,CT Scan, Angio CT and Digital X-Ray are covered for reimbursement for an OPD patient? More over, how much amount incurred on the cost of treatment as an indoor patient can be sanctioned by the Head of the Department ?Kindly guide in the light of the appropriate Memo or G.O. Thanks

All of the above Investigation procedures are reimbursable only when the employee is treated as Indoor patient.
In case of OPD treatment the scope is limited.

Charges for MRI, CT Scan, Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Ultrasonography, ERCP,
Sigmoidoscopy are reimbursable for any disease on the basis of OPD prescription of any recognized hospital. Investigations done in Joint Venture diagnostic centres situated in the Government hospital campuses are also reimbursable under the Health Scheme (G.O no 797-F(MED) dated 31.01.2011. of WBHS Authority)
