Virtually not feasible to reject the degree by the university. You started M.Sc. course before joining the school. As such there was no question of taking permission from school authority/D.I. at that time. Though you continued the course after joining, yet it was not wise to restrict a teacher from doing higher study in academic interest. Moreover, P.G. degree has no relevance in the normal course curriculum of a primary school. Therefore, you could have communicated to the school the matter of continuance of M.Sc. course. As per recent High Court verdict, a teacher is protected if s/he wants to go for higher degree in academic interest without hampering his/her duties and responsibilities for the students of the school.
there is no GO for this for primary teacher but in no way you have to be hackled by law on the other hand as POLO has already said the recent court verdict will protect you (one of them says “education is a right and no one can be denied of that”) though these order were for high school teacher the mood is clear.
But if you would have any unfair means like making attendance at both places it’s your own responsibility. In a word don’t worry. you are on safe position.
sir, plz send me the high court order.
i am an asst. teacher of high school.
i am facing the same problem.
