Hello All,
My wife has cleared the SSC this year and has joined in a school as assistant teacher in additional post recently.
As per rules she has submitted the joining confirmation/acceptance letter with date and time of joining to school. However the HM/MC has not yet given back the signed or stamped copy of this letter.
Now she would be taking maternity leave as per rules. However the HM/MC is reluctant to give the signed letter and they are always postponing dates.Lastly they have said that they will give that letter after consulting with the DI.Not sure exactly what they want to consult. They have also said that my wife is not eligible to get maternity leave and will have to take no pay leave.
My wife is signing in the register everyday but apart from that we have nothing to proof joining to the school.
Please could you help me in this regard by explaining if the non availability of the above letter might be problem on our end.Anything that we can or we should do in this situation?December 5, 2013 at 1:39 pm #78992AnonymousInactiveDon’t worry Dear Mr. kaushik_ju20. Your wife shall have right to get maternity leave. If any teacher or non-teaching staff (permanent /additional /Para/Part-time, by whatever name known) needs maternity leave after the joining minimum 1(one) day of service, then she will get the maternity leave.
If the school authority (HM) does not give the received joining letter or does not sanction the maternity leave, report to the concerned D.I.of Schools.
On the other hand, if a candidate wants to join one day after delivery , she will get no maternity leave.
If the S/A or D.I. does not agree to allow/sanction her maternity leave, then go to WBBSE/DSE and at last to court, you will get proper judgment.
Thanks a lot.March 1, 2015 at 11:20 am #80245AnonymousInactivesir i am a librarian of a h.s school.in school routine H.M gave me 30 classes where assistant teachers have less classes than me. i asked H.M ,but he told me that there is a rule for taking classes for librarian . sir is it true ? if not than please give me the copy of duty of a librarian in gov school in w.b.

Dear Sumanta, have a look at this Special Notification published by the DI/s of Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas. This may help you. -
