For how many maximum days a Para-teacher in a state (WB) Govt. sponsored and aided High School (in upper primary Section) in West Bengal can enjoy (a) Maternity leave and (b) miscarriage leave at a time??? Govt. order from 2004 to date regarding the matter needed.
For maternity leave :-
Maternity Leave-135 days- G.O. No. 444-SE(S) dt.22/03/2004, ( not for Para Teacher)
Maternity Leave-120 days -G.O. No. 13/Ped, dt.02/12/2005.
Maternity Leave-135 days -G.O. No. 134-SE(Pry)/55/Ped/PBSSM, dt.26/02/2009.(**)
Maternity Leave-180 days -Circular No. S/148, dt.03/06/2011 w.e.f.01/01/2011( there is no comments about the Para Teacher,it should be clarify)
(**) 135 days maternity leave may be enjoyed by the lady para teachers. Such leave may start two months before the date of delivery of the child and may continue after the date of delivery. Further this leave period too is not mandatory. According to the convenience of the incumbent, maternity leave may be availed. Such leave shall be sanctioned by the SDC (School Development Committee) and MC respectively on production of medical certificate from a registered medical practioner.
In case of Miscarriage or Abortion the lady teacher may get Maternity Leave for 6 (six) weeks sanctioned by the Head of the Institution on production of medical certificate from a registered medical practioner.
@mihiracharya Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Leave can be availed twice by the lady teacher for 6 (six) weeks sanctioned by the Head of the Institution on production of medical certificate from a registered medical practioner.
