First of all many congratulations for the Nazrul jayanti.
And friends I’m really puzzled with the birth day of Nazrul Islam. The state govt. celebrates the 25th May as his Birth Day and in the Holiday list circulated by the Department of Education as well as by some DPSC (e.g. DPSC, Bankura) has listed 26th May as an observable Day for Nazrul Jayanti. I can’t resolve the ambiguity. If you can please share here. Otherwise at least share your opinion.
I’m sure no date is more important than the person himself and remembering a great man on any date is welcome. Yet there is no problem to know the history as well.

Kazi Nazrul Islam was born on 25th May, 1899 as per wikipedia.
But it is mentioned in “Patha Sankalan” of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education as 24th May, 1899.
I don’t know which is the actual one.
