Very recently NCTE has aproved Two year DElEd course throgh ODL module for untrained in service primary teachers recruited in 2014.But the fate of the in service primary teachers having one year BEd degree recruited after 03.09.2001are still hanging in the balance. It is being heard that West Bengal School Education Department applied for necessary aproval from NCTE long ago but no communication has been received from NCTE till date.Has anybody have any idea about the matter?What will happen to the 5000 such illfated teachers?They are being treated as untrained and they will get A catagory scale only after they undergo the 6 month special training aproved by NCTE>
Yes. it is really an unfortunate condition. Those trained teachers(b.ed) are being compelled to under go a two years training… govt must look after the matter seriously and introduce such a course in open university.

In this order the b.ed holders are asked to wait but why then the newly appointed teachers are admitted in 2 years odl training programme?
