Re: no of class of a assistant teacher in high or higher sec
The teaching load for a teacher should normally be 36 periods per week (25 periods for classroom teaching plus 11 periods for tutorial class, home task).
For the purpose of calculation of work load 1 (one) period in the Higher Secondary Section shall be taken to be equivalent to 1.25 times the period in the Secondary Section (Class V – X). Ref: Class Limit For Teachers In H.S. Schools
Re: no of class of a assistant teacher in high or higher sec
What is the definition of tutorial class? and is a teacher bound to take tutorial class or not
Is this situation happen for all Teachers in your School?
Can you please tell total number of class and section and total number of Teacher (excluding H.M) in your School.
we have 15 approved teacher but two of them have retired. almost everyone has been alotted 28 clasaes in a week. but we also get provisional classes regularlly due to absence of any teaching staff. thus we take 33classes anyhow. our headmaster says it is the minimun. comparable to other schools. he himself takes only three classes in a week. this is the problem
