Non Deputed B.Ed (IGNOU) study leave mandatory?

I am pursuing B.Ed (2nd Year), from IGNOU.
1) Is it mandatory to take study leave?
2) Is sanction of study leave from board necessary (only School MC sanction ), if it is less than 7 days ?
urgent help required.

It is not mandatory to take study leave for distance mode.
As far as I know that the school authority can not sanction such study leave. After the board’s recommendation the S.A. can sanction such leave. I have given a teacher who completed the B.Ed degree from IGNOU. But I said her, if her leave with full pay does not grant by the board then I must cut her pay for the days. I gave her leave in two spell- 7 days and 15 days respectively.
