InactiveDear Friends,

InactiveIf you are not a Government employee you are free to post whatever you like, addressed to the Editor for publication. They will edit it and they may publish. It is their discretionary power. However, if you are the government employee or employee of even a government aided organisation, it will be a mis-adveture and hence a misconduct.Departmental proceeding would be drawn against you which may result in your punishment inclusive of dismissal from the job.

InactiveNo common man can write an “open letter”. Open letters are columns of editor or any other writer of a publication.

InactiveI am not a govt. employee. But the problem is related to my wife, who is a School Teacher. Can I publish the Open Letter to Minister?

InactiveIf the news paper agrees according to the policy of the organisation, you can. But whom would you write and who will understand your pain? Unfortunately we have 90% matric fail graduate ministers. Unnecessarily your wife will be penalized. If it is a service matter take it before court and before that with appropriate authority to exhaust the departmental channels. Do not be mis- adveturous with respect to your wife.

InactiveGovt employees can write an open letter. If i am not mistaken in several issues of “sangrami hatiyar” (published by co-ordination committee) open letters were published to draw the attention of the govt. Open letters contains general issues and not service related problems of an individual. I think you better think for any other solution in your instance.

InactiveAs per I can have the idea about the open letter to be published in some media,it is possible without hindering /affecting any core interest of the running system.viz you can’t say anything against constitution.you can not disclose anything regarding the confidential matter belonging your service/department/matter of govt security&interest.
