I am a primary teacher and join on 23/2/2001.with trained.BP was 3350/- Now 1/1/2006- BP-3710/-
3710*1.86=6900.60 .My question Will be it 6910/-? Now 1/7/2013 BP=12480/-is IT RIGHT or WRONG? sukanta..May 6, 2014 at 4:38 am #79478AnonymousInactiveRe: PAY FIXATION
On 1/1/2006, it would have been Rs.6910/-
Here is your evidence
ROPA_2009.jpg
Now calculate the BP as follows:
1/1/2006 – Rs.9510/-
1/7/2006 – Rs.9800/-
1/7/2007 – Rs.10100/-
1/7/2008 – Rs.10410/-
1/7/2009 – Rs.10730/-
1/7/2010 – Rs.11060/-
1/7/2011 – Rs.11400/-
1/7/2012 – Rs.11750/-
1/7/2013 – Rs.12110/-
1/7/2014 – Rs.12480/-May 7, 2014 at 6:43 pm #79482AnonymousInactiveRe: PAY FIXATION
I am a primary teacher (untrained category). Presently my basic pay is Rs.8930 (Including grade pay Rs. 2300). Now the result of bridge course has been published and got passed. So what would be the basic pay now as a trained teacher? which option should I choose the benefit of higher pay from right now or after the increment in july? What will be more accurate and profitable?May 8, 2014 at 8:51 am #79484AnonymousInactiveAs a trained teacher, your Grade Pay will be increased to Rs.2600/- from right now (i,e., from the date of attaining your degree). You will have increment on 1/7/2014 as usual on the new Basic Pay Rs.9230/- (current Pay in the Band(Rs.6630/-) + Increased Grade Pay(Rs.2600/- ).
Here is the relevant orderMay 8, 2014 at 5:06 pm #79485AnonymousInactiveThanks gpgarain for your valuable post. Now please clarify me the category A. An A category teacher enjoys more pay in the pay band plus extra grade pay. For example at the time of joining an untrained teacher gets basic pay Rs 5860+Rs 2300 = Rs 8160/- only But a trained teacher gets Rs 6240 + Rs 2600 = Rs 8840/- as basic pay. So it is expected the the pay in the pay band should also be increased like the grade pay. Now my query is how will be the pay in the pay band be fixed of the newly trained in service teachers ( date of first joining 16th January 2010). Result of the bridge course published on April 2014. Thanks!

That’s true Mr. Roy.
But let me explain this way….
You were drawing Salary in the Pay Scale of Rs. 3150-80-3390-90-4380-100-5680/- before you completed the Bridge Course. Now after completion of the course you are entitled to receive Salary in the Pay Scale of Rs. 3350-90-3800-100-4700-125-6325/-. But have you noticed that both the Previous Scale of Pay have come under New Pay Band 2 in the Scale of Pay of Rs. 5400-25200/-. The only difference lies in the Grade Pay (Rs.2300/- and Rs. 2600/-). Here is the Proof.
AnnextureVIII_Ropa2009.pdf
Sl No. (ii) of the Order No. 209-SE(EE)/PTTI -7/2011 dt 4/3/2013 (refer to my previous post in this thread) says “Teachers completed one year’s Diploma in Primary Teacher Training Course and appointed after 31.12.2005 and subsequently covered one year Bridge Course through NCTE recognised Institution:
Provided such category of teachers may be allowed “A” category scale of pay from the date of joining the post or the date of attainment of the qualification whichever is later.“
So your fixation will be effective on and from your date of attaining the degree of Professional Qualification, not from your date of joining.
Now your Pay in the band on the date of attaining the qualification should have been Rs.6240/- with Grade Pay Rs.2600/- (i.e., Basic Pay Rs.8840/-). But as you have already reached the higher pay in the band i.e., Rs.6630/-, your existing Pay in the Band would be protected according to the Pay Protection Rules. And your Pay will be fixed at Rs.6630/- + Rs.2600/- (Basic Pay Rs.9230/-) as I mentioned earlier.
I think, its cristal clear now. Thanks.May 9, 2014 at 3:27 pm #79488AnonymousInactiveThanks a lot for the clarification.
