    Dear friend
I have a sister (near relative) who’s father was a Post Master in Sasaram Head Post Office (Bihar), who died at Siliguri and her mother also died prior to her father’s death, and my sister is unmarried, and now she wants to avail the pension facility for unmarried daughter.
But the problem is Postal under Central Govt. and i dont have the forms for applying the pension for unmarried daughter, i had approached post office at Siliguri, but they are saying that they dont have that format.
So friends if you have the format for applying Pension for unmarried daughter for CENTRAL GOVT. only (since Postal Dept. is under Central Govt.) may kindly be provided so that she could apply for pension.
    Thanking you,
    Shib

You may consult with the Superintendent of P.O.(Main Post Office) or PENSION CELL from where the PPO was issued for her mother, family pensioner. It ought to be mentioned the name of her unmarried daughter as the nominee at the time of processing the family pension.

    Dear Mr Prasad,
The applicant has to submit Form 14 for family pension. You may download it from the following link:

    Dada,
Thank you very much for providing such a valuable information, but dada, i have seen the form 14, but there is a field where only widow and widower can be filled, so is it the very form on which the application for pension for UNMARRIED DAUGHTER can be made?
    regards
    shib

    Dear Shib_slg,
This is the only form for applying for family pension. This is a general format and useful as, in majority of the cases (I think more than 95%), wife becomes the first surviving family member to receive family pension. When the surviving family member is the daughter who claims the family pension the irrelevant items should not be filled in. In your case you may strike out the terms “widow/widower” and replace by the term “daughter” in item 1 (i) and write her name. No problem.
    FORM 14
    See Rule 77 (3) and 81 (2)
Form of application for the grant of Family pension, 1964, on the death of a Government servant / pensioner
    1. Name of the applicant
    (i) Widow / Widower…Daughter……………………..
(ii) Guardian if the deceased person is survived by
    child or children……………………………………….Not applicable
    2. Name and age of surviving widow/widower and
children of the deceased Government servant /
    pensioner
Sl No. Name Relationship with the deceased person Date of birth by Christian era
