Release Date for Joining B.Ed Regular Mode

I have query…it’s urgent…I am going to join B.Ed (regular mode) course as deputed, joining date given by college is 19th august. Now 18th is sunday. I would attend my school last on 17th aug. So, advice me on which date I should take release? 17th, or 18th or 19th? Plz reply… so that I may not face break of service.

In which date your college will starts? Ask this to your college, they will suggest you to take correct descission.

@ sandip_prince80: you may take release on 17th August (afternoon) and join on 19th August (forenoon). Being 18th as Govt. holiday, there will be no service break in this case. and i think this is the right procedure.
you can not take release on 18th August, because generally, nobody can sign on release letter on sunday. Again, taking release on 19th August forenoon is ok but joining on the same day AFTERNOON do not make sense.

Dear nemo is right. According to the G.O. No. 854-Edn.(S) dated 20/09/75 ,you will get 5 days in hand but such 5 days you will get neither salary nor any allowance. So, you will take release on 17 th August.
