    I am panchayat development officer posted in a block development office. My reliever joined on mid January, although I am not released till date. BDO is willing to stay me for coming 2-3 months due to panchayat general election-2013. I am also interested to stay for 2-3 months as it is very difficult for me to act as APRO in new block office. As it is a single post in a block, can i stay here for next 2-3 months? please advice me with enclose government order.

    Since there is only one sanctioned post of PDO in a Block Office, how can the BDO retain you on that post when the reliever has already joined!!

    It will not be possible to stay further 2-3 months in the same post after joining of the reliever until further order by competent authority (who signs the transfer order).
    It is against Treasury Rules/Finance Rules of West Bengal to give salary to two person in the same chair for more than 1 or 2 months, I guess.
