Dear friend,
I feel your pain because I also suffering the same pain. But it is fact that we stand on a stern reality. We all know more or less what is the present condition of our society. Teachers are a small part of our society. They can’t do all but they can try repeatedly.
Thousands of obstruction in front of us. We have forgotten now( compelled) what is the basic deference between teacher -ship and others occupation. I have posted here from the angle of real situation otherwise what should we do?? Don’t worry my young friend, I am always with you. No more today. @ b_roy…(though a teacher with out student is no teacher).
I believe without a doubt that Mr. Roy is a True Teacher and has passion for teaching too!
I beg pardon as I could not hold myself to comment with a view to contradict Mr. Roy’s above comment. Although I am not qualified enough to make any comment in this matter because I am not a TEACHER!
Any way I believe Teacher with or without student is ALWAYS a Teacher!
Why…?
Teaching is really a unique “profession” because they have to work hard/ think diverse / read more / interact among themselves althrough (even at a time when people from other profession taking rest) to find out new and newer teaching learning process. It is a continuous process and it needs more and more time to interact/read/think/work. They are also called teacher who in fact think over and invent some newer processes. This may happen without presence of a single student. For example they may discuss with other teachers with a view to find some innovative ways of T-L process / they may engage themselves in innovating/making some more and more effective TLM for his unique students – in order to refrain themselves from using/buying ready made TLMs available in market. They may discuss among the teachers over the question pattern that can judge a students conceptual ability. Lots of thing is there…

@ Mr Biku: You are welcome with your feelings. You said , ” I am not qualified enough to make any comment in this matter because I am not a TEACHER!”. I’m simply not agree with you because I believe any person who ever has a real feelings on any matter is qualified enough to pass a comment/judgement on that particular matter. Yes I’m seriously saying that to have a REAL FEELINGS is the toughest thing in today’s world, at least for me.
However if a teacher is always teacher then why should they be compelled to come to school when there is absolutely no work at school at particular school hours (and many of the works you have suggested can be done from home too if a teacher wishes ). You have suggested a lot of works which I believe should be done but are they done in these situations? What are your experiences? I do not have any experience on matter like this. Friend You are right with what you have said. But the reality is tough… really tough as our friend Asit Baran Pal has said about.

. I believe you in fact think over and try to invent newer process all the time. Isn’t it my friend? We are waiting to get more and more innovative ideas from you.
Any way do you think the circular from govt./WBBSE should be clear so that no confusion would have arisen. It could say that teachers of schools in WB must attend school and indulge themselves in works related with education?

Is there any update regarding the puja vacation (no of holidays further reduced for the extended summer vacation) for primary school- specially schools under BANKURA district primary school council?
Its urgent please share any information regarding this as children are to be notified tomorrow and no concrete information is available with the S/I office.
