Sub: Reimbursement of water Charges and Electricity Charges to the Judicial Officers of the West Bengal Judicial Service including erstwhile West Bengal Civil Service (Judicial) and West Bengal Higher Judicial Service.

Sir,

In partial modification of this Department order No. 6853-J dated 20.01.2006, I am directed to say that the Governor has been pleased to sanction w.e.f. 1st Day of November, 1999 reimbursement in respect of water and electricity charges consumed by the Judicial Officers of this State as aforesaid at their residence subject to the limits specified as under:-

All members of the West Bengal (Judicial Service including erstwhile members of West Bengal Civil Service (Judicial) and West Bengal Higher Judicial Service.50% charges of electricity to be paid on quarterly basis subject to production of bills.50% charges of water consumed, where, levied to to be paid on quarterly basis subject to production of bills from the concerned Municipality or Municipal Corporation as the case may be.

The charge will be debited under the detailed head “14-R.R.T.” & the Sub-detailed head “13-Office expenses-01-Electricity” under the major/sub-major/minor heads from which salaries of the members of the Judicial Officers are drawn.

This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide their U.O. No. 3826 Group-P (Service) dated 16.11.2006.
