Composition of Tender Committee in different Wings of Public Works

In view of restructuring of the engineering setup of different directorates under Public Works Department a need was felt to reconstitute the existing Tender Committee for different wings of the department.

ORDER

In pursuance of Finance Department’s Memo No. 5458-F(Y); dt. 27.06.2012, No. 6427-F(Y); dt. 25.07.2012 and this Department’s No: 02-CRC/2M-57/2008 dt. 29.01.2014 read with rules -17(1) and 17(2) of the Public Works Rules, 1987, Tender Committees are constituted for evaluating and recommending tenders of work value beyond four Crores pertaining to the works of different wings under Public Works Department to the Government for according sanction towards acceptance of tender(s).

2. Now in view of restructuring of the engineering setup of different directorates under Public Works Department a need was felt to reconstitute the existing Tender Committee for different wings of the department.

3. Therefore after careful consideration of the matter the composition of the Tender Committees for the different wings of the department are modified in the following manner.

A. For North Zone under Public Works Directorate

1.Chief Engineer, North Zone, P.W. DirectorateChairman
2.Superintending Engineer of the Circle to which the tender is relatedMember-Convener
3.Assistant Chief Engineer (Planning), North Zone, P.W. DirectorateMember

4. The Tender Committee for P.W (Roads) Directorate would be responsible for evaluation and recommendation for the works of P.W(Roads) Directorate and NH Wing (for the works funded from State Budget/CRF/ISC/EI projects).

The Tender Committee for P.W. Directorate would be responsible for evaluation and recommendation for the works of P.W. Directorate and Social Sector.

5. The Member-Convener shall submit information on tender in the format, as shown in Annexure together with all supporting papers to the Chairman, Tender Committee within Seven(7) days from date of the tender and convene meeting in the consultation with the Chairman, Tender Committee.

6. This issues in supersession of all previous orders issued in this regard.

7. This order will take immediate effect and shall remain in force until further order.
