West Bengal Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1972
An Act to provide for the regulation of marketing of agricultural produce in West Bengal.
Directorate and Field Level offices in the districts and the West Bengal State Seed Corporations are involved in the execution of the policies relating to agricultural production and productivity.

Each farmer-hirer would be allowed to store up to the limit of 25 quintal only on his/ her account. The reserved space shall be allotted to the farmer-hirers on the first come first served basis.
The SOP may kindly be considered as revised to the extent mentioned in the said clarifications, in case of any conflict between the detail SOP issued earlier and the clarification being issued herewith, the latter will prevail.
It is advised that a separate Project Management Unit (PMU) be constituted in the Department of Agriculture with officers and consultants drafted from the Directorate of Agricultural Marketing.
The primary objective of the scheme is to provide facilities of enrolment for crop insurance to left out non-loanee farmers who could not enroll themselves on voluntary basis.
