Rate of Interest on GPF (01.01.2021 to 31.03.2021)
Accumulation at the credit of the subscribers to General Provident Fund and other similar funds shall carry interest at the rate of 7.1% per annum. The rate will be in force during this financial year for the period from 01.01.2021 to 31.03.2021.

Governor has been pleased to accord sanction of Interest-free festival advance upto a maximum of Rs. 16,000/- only to State Government employees whose revised emoluments on 31.03.2023 exceeded Rs. 39,000/- p.m. but did not exceed Rs. 49,000/- p.m.

Governor is pleased to decide that during the period from 01.01.2024 to 31.03.2024, accumulation at the credit of the subscribers to General Provident Fund shall carry interest at the rate of 7.1% per annum.

Procedure for Payment of Provident Fund Interest – Addendum
In case of final withdrawal of accumulations in the Provident fund, interest shall he payable thereon to the employee or his nominee or legal heirs, as the case may be, up to the end of the month preceding which the payment is made.
