The functions of the Finance Department are performed through 5 (five) branches, namely, Audit, Budget, Revenue, Internal Audit and Institutional Finance.

Introduction of Newly Introduced Sub-Modules of HRMS

After successful implementation of the Pay Roll, Stakeholders, Leave, Loan and T.A./D.A. sub-modules of HRMS, Govt. has decided to further introduce 7 new sub-modules viz. Sanctioned Strength, Transfer, Pay-fixation, Non-functional Promotion, Training, Confirmation and Exit Management (Pension).

Delegation of Power i.c.w. Departmental Approval under RIDF

In all cases the RIDF projects identified for sanction of NABARD are sent to Finance Department for technical examination by its RIDF wing. Considerable time is spent in this process leading to delay in the submission and sanction of projects by NABARD.

Delegation of Power to Grant Subsidy in Transport

Governor has been pleased to empower the Transport Secretary to the Government of West Bengal to grant subsidy for payment of salary, pension and retirement benefits in respect of employees of the Transport Corporations.

Half Holiday on account of Viswakarma Puja, 2018

On occasion of VISWAKARMA PUJA which falls on 17th September (Monday), 2018, the Governor has been pleased to declare that all State Government offices shall be closed at 2:00 P.M on that day.

Construction of Flats/ Houses by Co-Operative Housing Society

For the flats/ houses which are constructed or to be constructed on a subsequent date i.e. after 31.03.2013 through a Co-operative Housing Society, the benefit under this order may be available, if the registration is done within 24 months from the date of completion of the construction work.
