D.A. to Employees of Higher Educational Institutes wef May, 2024

Grant of Dearness Allowance (DA) to the regular Teaching and Non-teaching employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for the Pensioners of the State-aided/ Govt.-aided Educational Institutions, employees of statutory bodies under the administrative control of the Department of Higher Education w.e.f. 01.05.2024.

Online Admission into PG Courses for Session, 2023-24

No Charges shall be taken from the students for (i) scanning/ uploading of documents for online admission and (ii) providing/ making available the application form/ prospectus of admission in all PG level programmes like last year.

Online Admission into UG/ PG Courses for Session, 2022-23

Admissions to all Under Graduate (Honours and General) and Post Graduate courses in the State-funded Higher Education Institutions in West Bengal for the ensuing academic session 2022-2023 will be made online in Standalone mode.

Reopening of Colleges and Universities w.e.f. 16.11.2021

Government of West Bengal has decided that the Offline classes at UG/ PG and higher level, including Ph. D. and Research works in all General Degree Colleges/ Engineering/ Professional Colleges and Universities will re-open on and from 16th November 2021.

Determination of Workload of Graduate Laboratory Instructors

Graduate Laboratory Instructors who possess the minimum qualification required for Assistant Professor at the entry point as per relevant UGC Regulations, to be considered for teaching assignment of theory classes and to be designated as Laboratory Instructor, Laboratory Instructor (Sr. Scale), Laboratory Instructor (Selection Grade) and Laboratory Instructor (Associate Grade)

Dearness Relief @ 3% to Pensioners of Colleges wef Jan, 2021

Dearness Relief @ 3% with effect from 01.01.2021 shall also be admissible to the Pensioners/ Family Pensioners of State aided Non-Government Colleges, who are in receipt of revised Pension/ revised Family Pension as per recommendations of 6th Pay Commission.
