A meeting convened by Directorate of Social Welfare i.r.o Kanyashree Prakalpo in the Conference Hall of the Department of Child Development and Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, Bikash Bhavan, North Block, 10th Floor, Salt Lake, Kolkata-91 will be held on July 30, 2014.
Revised schedule of e-Counseling for admission in different Engineering & Technology Colleges through West Bengal Joint Entrance Board. Remote admission at Reporting Centres after 1st round of seat allotment: 18th to 23rd July, 2014.
The Nodal Officer will be responsible for overall supervision for the smooth conduct of this entire e-Counseling process i.e. setting up of Help Centres, Reporting Centres etc. at District, Sub-Division and Block level; liaise with the WBJEE Board for all such arrangements and report to this Department through the Board.
All the participating Institutions are directed to submit the ‘SEAT MATRIX’ as per the specified FORMAT within the 06th. June, 2014 so as to enable the Directorate to prepare the necessary ‘Seat Matrix-2014’ for onward communication to the Joint Entrance Examinations Board.
Government has been considering, for some time past, the need for setting up an Education Commission of West Bengal to prepare the road map and perspective plans for the State’s education sector.
A detailed report may also be submitted to this Department regarding the action taken so far by the University in this behalf by 31st March, 2013.
University and College authorities may take recourse to the provisions of their existing Statutes, Rules and Regulations relating to the conduct of election to the Students’ Unions, and adopt appropriate arrangements.
With a view to preventing any untoward incidents over conduct of students’ union elections, and to ensure the maintenance of peace and tranquillity in and around educational institutions.
Bank Draft in favour of West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training (Gen) payable at Kolkata will have to be submitted to Nodal Centre within 22-08-2012.
State Government has decided to use a Centralized web based online admission system for admission at Undergraduate level in all colleges/ Universities under the administrative control of the Higher Education Department from the academic session 2023-2024.
