ORDER
In supersession of this Department’s Order No. 1508/FS/SECTT/Food/14R-01/2013 (Pt-III) dated 29.05.2017, the Governor is hereby pleased to order that in the districts of Murshidabad, Nadia, South 24-Parganas, Birbhum (except Jangaimahal Blocks viz. Dubrajpur, Rajnagar, Md. Bazar, Khoyrasol, Murarai-I, Nalhati-I and Rampurhat-I), Hooghly, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, Cooch Behar, North 24-Parganas, Howrah (except Howrah Municipal Corporation Area), Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur (except Jangalmahal Blocks viz. Medinipur (S), Salboni and Garbeta-II), Bankura (except Jangalmahal Blocks viz. Raipur, Ranibandh, Simlapal and Sarenga), Purba Burdwan and Paschim Burdwan, distribution of foodgrains shall mandatorily be done only by way of production of Digital Ration Cards by the beneficiaries and no foodgrains will be distributed to the Form-III/IV applicants on the basis of their old paper Ration Cards stamped with “NFSA/RKSY Cards Delivered” with effect from 01.09.2017.
2. The Governor is further pleased to order that in rest of the districts of West Bengal viz. Malda, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling and Kalimpong and Purulia (except Jangaimahal Blocks viz. Arsha, Baghmundi, Balarampur, Barabazar, Bandwan, Jhalda-I, Jhalda-II and Manbazar-II) including Kolkata Municipal Corporation Area and Howrah Municipal Corporation Area, the present method of distribution, i.e., those who have already received the Digital Ration Cards and their old paper Ration Cards being stamped with “NFSA/RKSY Cards Delivered” will get foodgrains on production of Digital Ration Cards and the others who have submitted applications in Form-III/IV but have not received the Digital Ration Cards shall continue to receive the foodgrains on the basis of production of the old paper Ration Card along with a receipt copy of Form-III/IV until further order.
3. For Malda, Alipurduar, Jalpaiguri, Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Purulia (except Jangaimahal Blocks) along with Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Howrah Municipal Corporation, all out efforts will be made to complete the distribution of digital cards within September, 2017 to enable distribution of foodgrains w.e.f. October, 2017 on production of Digital Ration Cards wherever the existing ration cards have been stamped with “NFSA/RKSY Cards Delivered”.
4. For the 31 Jungle Mahal Blocks in Purulia, Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram, Bankura and Birbhum districts, the beneficiaries shall continue to draw foodgrains on production of their existing old paper ration cards. Separate order is being issued shortly regarding method of distribution of digitized ration cards in Jungle Mahal Blocks.
