Sub: Doorstep delivery of food grains/ rice under Mid-Day-Meal Scheme.

Sir/ Madam,

You know that distributors/ carrying contractors of Food & Supplies Department will lift food grains/ rice allocated to the Nodal Officers in the Districts and Kolkata under Mid-Day-Meal Scheme for transportation from nearest FCI godown to every school as per norms contained in para 5.3 (at page 8) of guidelines on MDMS issued from School Education Department in January, 2007. But this procedure is reported to have not been followed uniformly causing hardship/ problem to the School Authorities in procurement of allotted rice from Distributors/ Dealers’ points. System of delivery of rice to the school points must be ensured.

I would, therefore, like to request you to take steps in order that each school gets delivery of allotted quota of rice at its doorpoint.

Yours faithfully,

Sd/- Arnab Roy
