The word extra time or additional time that is being currently used should be changed to compensatory time and the same should not be less than 20 minutes per hour of examination for persons who are making use of scribe/reader/lab assistant.

Sub: Allowing Extra time in the D El Ed Examination Halls for the users of the Scribes/ Readers and others with disabilities of 40% & above
Sir/Madam,
In continuation of our earlier Memo. No. 1189(19)/BPE/2014 Dated 06.08.2013 and any other circular, made by this office subsequently, read with the memo of the department of School Education No. 223-SSE/13, 28-03-2013 and 763-SE(EE)/10M-189/2013, Date: 14-08-2013, I am directed to forward herewith the guideline, contained in paragraph-XI of the Office Memorandum of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Disability Affairs, Date: 26-02-13 for your kind perusal for the holding of the D.El.Ed. Part-I and Part-II Examinations, (regular face-to-face).
Paragraph-XI: “The word “extra time or additional time” that is being currently used should be changed to “compensatory time” and the same should not be less than 20 minutes per hour of examination for persons who are making use of scribe/reader/lab assistant. All the candidates with disability not availing the facility of scribe may be allowed additional time of one hour for examination of 3 (three) hours duration which could further be increased on case to case basis.”
You are requested to go by the said guideline and take up all possible measures for smooth conduct of the examinations in your district.
