NOTIFICATION
Subject: Failure of the Eligible Candidates to Enroll for Madhyamik Pariksha (SE), 2026 due to their school’s dereliction.
This is to inform, quite a few numbers of Secondary schools have informed West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, at this late stage before Madhyamik Pariksha (SE) 2026 that is to start from 2nd February, 2026, that they have erred/ lapsed in Enrolment process for which few of their Class X students have not enrolled for Madhyamik Pariksha 2026, consequently these students have not received their Admit Card. In the greater interest of the students, so as to enable such students to appear in Madhyamik Pariksha 2026, the Board will open the online Enrolment Portal for 24 hours, from 12 noon of 27/01/26 (Tuesday), to 28/01/26 (Wednesday), 12 noon. This opportunity is being given for the enrolment of eligible candidates who were deprived due to dereliction on the part of their concerned school.
The details for availing this emergency process are as follows:
- To avail the provision there in: Candidates who have successfully passed the Test Examination (Class X), having a minimum attendance of 70% in Class IX & X, may do so by following the Enrolment process that has been done before through the WBBSE portal through their concerned school. All schools must strictly adhere to the rules and facilitate the genuine candidates of the concerned institution during the enrolment process.
- Submission and Collection of Documents: The concerned School shall do the needful for such deprived candidates, as noted above, in the WBBSE portal for enrolment, shall download the enrolment report for the same, and get it signed by the candidates concerned, then it is to be endorsed by the HoI, and then to be submitted in original to WBBSE, along with applicable fees and collect Admit Card and ASR on Thursday (29/01/2026) between 11 AM to 4 PM, at WBBSE office (Nivedita Bhavan, Salt Lake Kolkata 700091).
- Fees Structure: As per applicable rules including Late Fine.
- Submission of Fees: Only at Nivedita Bhawan, Kolkata – 91 either by cash or by UPI
- For collection of Admit Cards & ASR: Place WBBSE, Examination Section, Nivedita Bhawan, 3rd Floor, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700 091 on Thursday (29/01/2026) between 1PM to 05 PM
Moreover, Board shall take appropriate steps, in due course, as per applicable Rule upon all such schools to fix responsibility and take disciplinary action accordingly so that such omissions, creating hardship for the students to the extent jeopardizing their future chances, do not recur.
This notification is being issued with the approval of the President, Ad-hoc Committee, WBBSE. The matter may be treated as urgent with utmost care.
