NOTIFICATION

Regarding the fees of under Graduate Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture Programmes conducted by the Private Self financing Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture Colleges of this State, the Governor is pleased to order that the Fees Structure for the Programmes conducted by the Private Self-financing Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture Colleges of this State will be continued for at least three (03) years w.e.f. 2018-19 academic session.

Accordingly, the Fees Structure of 2016-17 academic year (G.O. No. 426-Edn (T) dt. 17.06.2016) has been adopted in 2017-18 academic year (G.O. No. 425-Edn (T) dt. 10.07.2017) and the same shall be adopted for 2018-19 academic year also.

Now the details of Fees Structure stipulated in 2016-17 academic year, which shall be adopted in 2018-19 also are enumerated again in this order.

Accordingly, the Tuition fees and other fees for the students to be admitted in the 1st year of under Graduate Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture Courses in the Self-financing Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture Colleges in the State for the academic year 2018-19 are given hereunder:-

I) Maximum Tuition Fee will be the following:-

1st Year (2018-2019) – Rs. 80,000.00
2nd Year (2019-2020) – Rs. 82,000.00
3rd Year (2020-2021) – Rs. 84,000.00
4th Year (2021-2022) – Rs. 86,000.00
5th Year (2022-2023) (only for B. Arch. Courses) – Rs. 88,000.00

No separate development fee can be charged by the colleges.

II) Besides Tuition Fees as prescribed above, the Self-financing Colleges may charge the following fees from the students admitted in the academic year 2018-19:-

a) One time Admission Fee not exceeding Rs. 5,000.00 for entire Course period.
b) Library-cum-Book-Bank Fee not exceeding Rs. 6,000.00 for the entire course period.
c) Students Welfare, Sports & Games Fee not exceeding Rs. 1,000.00 annually.
d) A reasonable amount as Refundable Caution Money.
e) Fees charge d by the University for Welfare of students and Development.
f) Other usual University Fees like Registration Fee, Examination Fee etc.

III) Engineering Colleges which have obtained Autonomous Status on or before the date of this order and the Engineering Colleges which have earned NBA Accreditation for 2/3rd of eligible B. Tech. Courses or B.Pharm or B.Arch. Courses on or before the date of this order, will be at liberty to charge higher tuition tee not exceeding 10% of the prescribed maximum general tuition fee only.

IV) Colleges have to implement the West Bengal Freeship Scheme (WBFS) as per the Govt. Order issued from time to time in this regard.

V) No capitation fee in any form or kind can be demanded or realized from the students for admission or continuation of the study in the colleges or for any other reason, either directly or indirectly.

VI) No college shall demand or charge any other fee of compulsory nature except fees prescribed in the Para – I to III of this Order.

VII) In case of any violation or deviation from any condition of this order, the State Govt. shall take appropriate action.

Every college will submit a statement to the Affiliating University i.e. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) by 30th November, 2018 enumerating the type and amount of fees charged from the students admitted in the college.

This Notification is issued in the public interest and in supersession of all previous orders and/or Notifications issued by this Dept. on this subject.
