Sir,
I am directed by order of the Governor to say that, in consideration of escalation in the cost of essential commodities, the question of revision of rates of grants for Garments & Beddings paid to ashramities of S.C. Ashram Hostels under the administrative control of this Department, attached to different educational institutions was under consideration of the Govt. for sometime past.
2. Now after careful consideration of all aspect of the matter, the Governor has been pleased to decide that the rate of grants for the items noted below shall be as mentioned against each w.e.f. 01.04.2017:

| 1 | Other charges (Purchase of kerosene, soap, oil, hurricane etc.) | Rs. 400/-/head/annum. |
| 2 | Garments | Rs. 400/- /head/ annum. |
| 3 | Sports & Games | Rs. 100/- /head/ annum. |
| 4 | Beddings | Rs. 500/- /head/ annum. |
| 5 | Medical facilities | Rs. 100/- /head/ annum. |
3. This issues with the concurrence of Finance Department, vide their U.O. No. Gr. E/2017-2018/0038, dated 05.01.2018, and in supersession of the rates mentioned in this Department earlier No. 4255-BCW/5SM-04/07 dated 01.10.2009.
