CIRCULAR

West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education will conduct the Higher Secondary Examination 2026 which will commence on and from 12th February, 2026 and will continue up to 27th February, 2026. The Higher Secondary Examination Semester IV will be held from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon, and Higher Secondary Examination (under old yearly/ annual system) will be held from 10.00 a.m. to 1.15 p.m. and Supplementary Examination of Semester III will be held from 1.00 p.m. to 2.15 p.m. on each day.

The question papers of the said examinations will be sent to the custodians (Police Station/ Treasury Office) corresponding to the respective examination centres by the authorised staff of the Council.

In the above context, it is requested that all necessary security measures be taken to ensure that the above examination is held smoothly and in a free and fair manner. Necessary assistance and co-operation are to be rendered to Government officials appointed by the Council. District authorities should make arrangements for special transport for the examinees as may be necessary, at the request of the authorities concerned and should ensure uninterrupted power supply to the examination centre.

District level officials of Health & Family Welfare Department, West Bengal should ensure that mechanism is in force for prompt treatment of any examinee falling sick during the examinations.

All police arrangements for safe custody and transit of the question papers as well as answer-scripts are to be made. There will be ban on use of loud speakers from 03 (three) days before commencement of the examinations and it will continue till completion of the examinations on 27th February, 2026. It is to be ensured that all photocopying shops within 100 meters of the examination centres are kept non-operational during the examination hours. Any attempt to disturb smooth conduct of the examination process or any recourse to unfair means is to be strictly dealt with. Programme of the said examination is enclosed.
