MEMORANDUM

Sub: Raising of Income ceiling for ‘dependent’ for the purpose of family pension in respect of both teaching and non-teaching staff of State aided Non-Govt. Colleges along with the employees of Day Students’ Home under the aegis of Higher Education Department.

Upon the revision/ raising of Income Ceiling of unmarried/ widowed/ divorced daughters beyond the age of 25 years for entitlement of family pension to Rs. 9000/- (Nine Thousand) only per month for State Government pensioners issued vide notification no. 270-F(Pen) dt. 8th Sep, 2021 of The Finance Department (Pension Branch), extending the same revision of Income Ceiling as admissible for family pension in respect of both teaching and Non-teaching staff of State aided Non-Govt. Colleges as well as the employees of Day Students’ Home under the administrative control of Higher Education Department has been under consideration of the Government for some time past;

Now, after careful consideration of the matter, the Governor is pleased to decide that the Income ceiling of unmarried/ widowed/ divorced daughters beyond the age of 25 years for entitlement of family pension is raised to Rs. 9000/- (Nine Thousand) only per month with immediate effect for the purpose of establishing the admissibility of the incumbent concerned as per this Department’s Memo No. 50-Edn (CS) dated 25/01/2024.

This is issued with the concurrence of Finance (Pension) Department vide U.O. No. Pension/2025-2026/0326 U.O. Date: 08/12/2025.
