You are aware that this Department has issued a notification vide no. 3270/S W/3W-37/2013 dtd. 08.10.2013 in connection with the recruitment of Project Manager, Accountant, Account-cum-Data Manager in your DPMU (District Project Manager Unit), you are requested to take necessary action in this regard. Since this may take some time, you are requested to designate an officer, preferably the nodal person for Kanyashree as Project Manager and send his/ her name/ contact details to this office. It may be noted that this post has to be subsequently filled up by the suitable person from regular service or on deputation or contract, as per provisions in the notification.
The necessary target for 21,17,976 of K1 beneficiaries and 3,69,146 of K2 beneficiaries, as desired by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, West Bengal in the inauguration of the Kanyashree Prakalpa may kindly be recalled. The district-wise quota for the annual scholarship is enclosed based on the DISE enrolment report of girl students is enclosed for your information and necessary action. The beneficiary for the one time grant may be selected based on the guidelines and for the girls who were born on or after 01.4.1995 and have completed 18 years and not cross 19 years on the date of the application.
As you may be aware that the portal for Kanyashree Prakalpa, wbkanyashree.gov.in has already been launched. The data related to the beneficiaries may be uploaded into this portal continuously in real time starting with the beneficiaries of 1st October Programme with the help of NIC, by 31st October, 2013 positively.
Kindly ensure that the bank accounts are opened for the students through organising camps at the school level by using the application form for a no-frills account especially designed for Kanyashree. At the same time you are requested to make available enough K1 and K2 forms to the schools through the D.I. (Secondary) concerned.
The form in connection with the Kanyashree Prakalpa may be lifted in a phase-wise manner and in consultation with Smt. Sarmistha Das, WBCS (Exe), Joint Secretary, (e-mail: js.wcd-wb@nic.in) Women & Child Development & Social Welfare Department, Govt. of W.B. from the Silpabarta Printing Press Limited.
Kindly ensure that enough publicity for the scheme is given and the stakeholders are trained on the various guidelines of the Kanyashree Prakalpa. I am sure that with your active involvement the scheme will be able to improve the plight of girl students of our State.
