Modified Sanctioned Strength in LDC and UDC Cadre under P.W.Dte.

NOTIFICATION

Different directorate offices under P.W. Dte., P.W. (R) Dte. and Social Sector (erstwhile C.B. Dte.) were re-organised and restructured vide Notification No. 66 dated 04.03.2014 alongwith several other subsequent Notifications with an objective to ensure better administration. As a result, a number of Sub-Divisions have been created, particularly in the Electrical Wing of P.W. Directorate. Meanwhile, three new districts have been created by the Govt. of West Bengal that leading to the creation of new Divisional Offices under P.W.Dte.

But, these offices have no sanctioned post of L.D.C. & U.D.C. at present which is essential for their smooth functioning and so, modification of the existing sanctioned strength in L.D.C. & U.D.C. cadre under P.W.Dte. as notified vide No. 117-E dated 29.06.2015 is required so that these new offices may be equipped with required number of L.D.C. & U.D.C. posts to cope with the requirement of proper implementation and execution of various administrative as well as infrastructural works under the Govt. of West Bengal.

Now, after careful consideration of the matter as a whole, the Governor is pleased, in the interest of Public Service to notify a modified establishment wise sanctioned strength in L.D.C. & U.D.C. cadre under P.W.Dte. as depicted in the enclosed Annexure. Moreover, it is to be mentioned that the modified sanctioned strength in the post of U.D.C. under P.W.Dte. will have its implementation effect after the L.D.C.s appointed prior to issuance of Notification No. 152 dated 30.08.2013 have been promoted to U.D.C.
