Notification
Sub: Monitoring Committee of Self-financed B. Ed. Colleges.
With a view to provide quality education in Self-financed B. Ed. Colleges in West Bengal a proposal to review the supervision in the said colleges are under active consideration of the Government for some time past. Now after careful consideration, the Governor is pleased to replace the system of Government Nominee in B. Ed. Colleges by introduction of a Monitoring Committee with the following members:-
i) One Vice Chancellor of a University, to be nominated by Honourable Minister-in-Charge of this Department, to act as Chairman of the Committee,
ii) Two Nominees of the Department of Higher Education, Science & Technology & Bio Technology,
iii) Two Nominees of the West Bengal State Council of Higher Education, and
iv) Nominees of the Vice-Chancellors of Universities associated with imparting teachers education.
