Sub: Nomenclature of 10th class Standard degree offered by West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education
Sir,
I am directed to state that the University Grant Commission requested Aliah University to confer or award degree as approved by University Grant Commission. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Aliah University, requested the Board to take a decision regarding nomenclature of degrees.
In the Board Meeting dated 25.09.2014, it was decided that the Board will change the nomenclature according to list of University Grant Commission. In that case existing (10+2) standard will be termed as Alim instead of Fazil in Senior Madrasah. So it is needed a new nomenclature of 10th standard. Two altenative names have been emerged from the meeting of Syllabus Committee, Board Meeting and Convention of selected Madrasahs as follows:

You are requested to hold a meeting of Staff Council and select the single nomenclature from the option Dakhil or Senior Madrasah Examination and send the filled in option format to this Board within 15 (fifteen) days. This may be treated as very urgent.
