Sub: Introduction of Online Centralized Databank for Statutory Bodies
For sometime past, the Government in Finance Department was considering improving the present system of maintaining data to indicate the current position in respect of statutory bodies like corporations, undertakings, societies etc. setup under various administrative departments with a view to establishing transparency and uniformity in the system in a centralized manner.
2. After careful consideration, the Governor has been pleased to introduce the Online Centralized Databank system for statutory bodies. This will enable the Government to know at any point of time about the net worth, assets and liabilities of such statutory bodies and also whether the required financial audits have been carried out on regular basis by the organizations.
3. The aforesaid system is made available in Finance Department Portal www.wbfin.nic.in. User Credentials of statutory bodies to access the system will be sent through system generated SMS to the Additional Chief Secretary/ Principal Secretary/ Secretary of concerned department.
4. The system facilitates the statutory bodies to enter its quarterly data on total income, expenditure, assets & loans and Financial & physical progress.
5. Statutory bodies of all administrative departments shall henceforth enter quarterly data using this online system under strict compliance. Data for last two quarters of current financial year are also needed to be entered.
6. For technical issues, National Informatics Centre located at Room No. 1106, 11th Floor, Nabanna (Ph. 22535363) may be approached.
7. This may be brought to the notice of statutory bodies of all administrative departments. Departments may also ensure that entire data is entered by the statutory bodies under their control by 31st December, 2014.
