Subject: Security At Reporting Centers and management of e-Counseling process.
Sir,
Like the previous year, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) under the aegis of the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal is going to conduct web-based “e-Counseling” for the academic year 2014-15 and provisional admission procedure in respect of different Engineering & Technology Colleges will be done through these Reporting Centers. The e-Counseling at the Reporting Centers, established at chosen Institutes spread over ail the districts of this State except Dakshin Dinajpur, will be held in the following three phases:-
1 | Remote admission at Reporting Centres after 1st round of seat allotment | 15th to 19th July, 2014 (10 AM to 5 PM) |
2 | Remote admission at Reporting Centre (Fresh allottee only) after 2nd round of seat allotment | 22nd to 23rd July, 2014 (10 AM to 5 PM) |
3 | Remote admission at Reporting Centre (Fresh allottee only) after 3rd round of seat allotment | 26th to 28th July, 2014 (10 AM to 5 PM) |
In this context, you are hereby requested to extend your cooperation in the following matters to facilitate a successful conduct of the e-Counseling process, 2014.
1) Adequate security and crowd control measures in and around the Reporting Centers are to be taken in all the three phases (mentioned above) from 10 am till the process is over for the day.
2) A competent officer is to be deputed at the Reporting Center to check the veracity of ST/SC/OBC certificates produced by the candidates.
3) A competent person is to be deputed at the Reporting Center in consultation with the CMOH to check the veracity of certificates produced by candidates under the “Person with Disability (PwD) Category”.
4) All the Nodal Officers being appointed from your end may also act as Executive Magistrates, if deemed fit.
