Notification
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the responsibility of a corporate entity under Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013 towards the society as a corporate citizen. CSR expenditure made by corporate are aimed at making a positive impact on society beyond just generating profits.
It was under active consideration of the State Government to set up an authority for alignment of the CSR activity with the development priorities of the State, evaluating the efficacy and better monitoring of CSR expenditure under different eligible sectors. Now, the Governor is pleased to constitute a State CSR Council under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary having the following members:

The Council may co-opt other members and stakeholders as would be necessary for the effective management of the activities of the Council.
Finance Department shall provide the secretariat assistance to the Council.
