No owner, manager or person in charge or having control of any catering establishment shall, on a prohibited day (Thursday), sell, serve, supply any meat or any food containing meat.

West Bengal Animal Slaughter Control Act, 1950

President of a Municipality or a Panchayat Samiti and the Veterinary Surgeon may issue a certificate under their joint signatures that an animal is fit for slaughter if they are both of opinion.
