Government of West Bengal has decided to re-open schools on campus for the students of class VIII, IX, X, XI and XII with effect from 03.02.2022 maintaining all COVID norms and protocols.
Schools shall open for class VIII to XII from 3rd February 2022. All government offices including public undertakings shall function with 75% of total employee strength.
The new scheme called PARIJAYEE SAHAY will provide some relief to the Migrant Workers in the form of dry ration and other benefits who can not avail themselves of food grains under the Public Distribution System in West Bengal.

Quarantine Leave, is a leave of absence from duty necessitated by order not to attend school in consequence of presence of infectious diseases in family or household of a teacher/ non-teaching staff.
Teacher/ non-teaching staff on account of suffering by himself/ herself or other members of family from the infectious diseases including COVID-19, may avail Quarantine Leave.
Marriage related functions shall be allowed with a maximum of 200 people at a time or 50% seating capacity of the hall/ venue, whichever is lower.
Inclusion of other infectious diseases including COVID-19 under the provision of Management of Recognised Non-Government Institutions (Aided and Unaided) Rules, 1969 pertaining to Quarantine Leave was under active consideration.

All Government, Government Aided and Government Sponsored educational institutions including training institutions will remain closed until further order in public interest.
State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) consists of 20 percent of the State Disaster Risk Management Fund (SDRMF). The balance 80 percent will go to the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).
