West Bengal Government Notification related to Government Holidays, Public Holidays, Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act (N.I. Act) etc.
Due to sad demise of Shri Rachhpal Singh, former Minister, Government of West Bengal, all State Government Offices will be closed today i.e. 8th July, 2021 from 4.00 p.m.
Due to adverse weather condition, classes will remain suspended in all Government, Government Sponsored and Non-Government Aided schools (primary to higher secondary) from 11th April, 2016 until further order.
In view of the present heat wave prevailing over the State it has been decided to prepone the summer vacation for a few days so as to start on and from 15th – 16th May, 2012.
Governor is pleased to declare 6th September, 2022 [Tuesday] as a Sectional Holiday on occasion of KARAM PUJA for the employees belonging to Tribal Communities employed in State Govt. Offices all over the State.
Governor has been pleased to declare that all offices under the Government of West Bengal with few exception will be closed at 2:00 P.M. on 01.07.2016.
Governor has been pleased to direct that 20th July 2016 is hereby declared as local holidays and the regular academic and other activities in the schools shall remain closed.
The President of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) is pleased to declare that the Council will observe following holidays during the year 2018.
The State Government has decided to observe Parshwanath’s Rathajatra which also falls on the 27th November 2023.
In cancellation of the earlier notification, all Government, Government sponsored and Non-Government aided and unaided schools will reopen on 27th October, 2014 after Puja holidays as per holiday list of W.B.B.S.E.
In view of celebration of JAMAI SASTHI all over the state the Governor has been pleased to declare that all offices under the Government of West Bengal shall be closed at 2.00 p.m on Wednesday, the 4th June 2014.
