West Bengal Government Notification related to Government Holidays, Public Holidays, Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act (N.I. Act) etc.
State Government has decided to declare holiday on 29th January, 2020 (Wednesday) in connection with Saraswati Puja in addition to already declared 30th and 31st January, 2020, for all State Government offices.
The Governor is pleased to declare the following days to be public holidays during the year 2012. Birthdays of Swami Vivekanada, Netaji, Gandhiji, Guru Nanak.
Offices will be closed at 02.00 PM on Tuesday, the 1st July, 2025 on account of the Birth Day of Late Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Ex-Chief Minister of West Bengal.
To celebrate the occasion of JAMAI SHASTHI, all office under the control of the Government of West Bengal shall remain closed on the 16th June 2021 (Wednesday).
Classes will remain suspended in all Government, Government Sponsored and Non-Govt aided schools (Primary to Higher Secondary) from 08.06.2015 to 13.06.2015. The Schools may reopen from 15.06.2015.
Governor is pleased to declare, Monday, the 7th March, 2016 as holiday on account of Sibaratri in all the offices under the Government of West Bengal.
Because of the prevailing heat wave it has been decided to approve the proposals of the Boards to reschedule the summer vacation which will now start from 2nd May, 2014 and end on 31st May, 2014.
