RBSK stands for Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram, a government initiative in India aimed at improving the health of children. It focuses on the early identification and treatment of health issues in children, such as congenital defects, diseases, and malnutrition. RBSK provides free health check-ups and treatments through mobile health teams in schools and communities.
Eye/ vision screening for all the school children in 06-18 years age group remains critical element under Chokher Alo.
In order to implement Adolescent Health program and Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram smoothly, the terms of reference of the various staff under Adolescent Health Program and RBSK have been developed and have been annexed herewith.
This accords top priority to management of referred children, screened for 4 Ds (Defects at birth, Deficiency, Diseases of childhood and Developmental delay including disabilities) by the mobile health teams under RBSK.
