RTI
Right to Information Act, 2005 mandates timely response to citizen requests for government information. It is an initiative taken by the Central Government.
Following organizations are the ‘Public Authority’ as defined in section 2(h) of RTI Act, 2005 under the administrative control of Tourism Department, Government of West Bengal.
It is ordered that the designated Public Information Officer of each public authority of West Bengal Government shall maintain a REGISTER in the following format to observe receipt of fee, furnishing of information to the payee etc.
Governor is pleased hereby to constitute with immediate effect, a body to be known as the West Bengal Information Commission with its headquarters at Kolkata.
Public Service Commission, West Bengal is committed to deliver absolute transparency in all its activities, there is no room for malpractice from any part of the process.
Application must reach the respective Regional Office of the Board within 100 days from the date of publication of result of M.P. (S.E.) 2022, i.e. within 12th September 2022, failing which the application shall not be entertained.
No suo motu disclosure under R T I Act is made. Copy of Circulars/ Orders issued from Audit Branch are sent to R.T.I. Cell. However, it will be sent to the concerned Joint Secretary/ Deputy Secretary of Finance Department for uploading in the Departmental Website.
Governor is pleased to notify different services and the Designated Officers, Appellate Officers and Reviewing Officers responsible for providing such services in Higher Education.
