Right to Information Act, 2005 mandates timely response to citizen requests for government information. It is an initiative taken by the Central Government.
Application must reach the respective Office of the Board within 75 days from the date of publication of result of M.P. (S.E.) 2026, i.e. within 23rd July, 2026, failing which application shall not be entertained.
What should an SPIO do when he receives an RTI Application? What to do when Information is neither available nor accessible/under control of the SPIO or only part information is available? How to treat Voluminous, Ambiguous and Multiple Query RTIs?
Postal copy of the hearing notices will be served upon the petitioners and the Public Authorities only in case of nonavailability of e-mail address.
The guideline is issued for the SPIOs of all Public Authorities as the Annual Return under the RTI Act is to be filed by the SPIOs.

Following organizations are the ‘Public Authority’ as defined in section 2(h) of RTI Act, 2005 under the administrative control of Tourism Department, Government of West Bengal.
RTI applications in regard to the marks obtained and supply of photocopy of OMR/ Digitized Data Sheet regarding the TET, 2014 will be received from 15.09.2016 to 09.11.2016.
It is ordered that the designated Public Information Officer of each public authority of West Bengal Government shall maintain a REGISTER in the following format to observe receipt of fee, furnishing of information to the payee etc.
West Bengal Board of Primary Education will not supply Photocopies of OMR-Sheets/ Digitized Data of OMR-sheets, relating to Teacher Eligibility Test, 2012, w.e.f. 01.05.2016.
Governor is pleased to identify the following organizations, Branches and Sections of Government of West Bengal to which the provisions of The Right to Information Act, 2005 shall not apply under section 24(4) of the said Act.
