Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) prior to appearing School Service Commission Examination is introduced by the State Government. A candidate must have to score at least 60% marks.

For Madhyamik & Higher Secondary School Teachers recruitment process an extra test named Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) prior to appearing SSC Examination is introduced by the State Government. Prior to appearing SSC exam, candidate must have to score greater than equal to 60% marks. This test will be conducted by School Service Commission.

Moreover from 2014, it is compulsory for the candidate to have B.Ed degree.

In a bid to improve teaching standards in schools and ensure a uniform teaching system across the country to comply with a provision of the Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, the Centre had issued guidelines at the beginning of the year, asking state governments to introduce TET.
