As far as I know, assessment of performance of the employees of all ranks (including Group-A) is no more confidential now after implementation of the Hon’ble Supreme Court verdict rendered in the Devdutta case. Therefore, Annual Confidential Reports are renamed as Annual Performance Assessment Report or something like that. It’s shown to every employee after their Accepting Authority records comments on the basis of appraisal. Upon receipt of that copy the employee again puts his comments whether he is satisfied or dissatisfied with the assessment of the Accepting Authority and, returns the same to the office.
