      Sir,I am posted as a surgeon in Darjeeling district hospital and have 200 days of medical leave in hand as well as 240 days of earned leave.but government has ordered that no leave to be taken from 12th June as GJM morcha has called indefinite strike.if I want to take 6 months official paid leave at this point of time,What should be the procedure?         Earned leave can be availed at a stretch for maximum180 days. But, leave can not be treated as a right. I save requires prior sanction. As such, it all depends upon the discretion of your appointing authority/leave sanctioning authority.
