Holiday on 17/03/2014 should be declared a holiday under N.I. Act so that Bank/ Financial Institution Employees can be saved from Holi disturbances. These days, in WB, Dol Jatra and Holi are both celebrated in most places. Without a holiday on 17/03/2014, employees will either remain absent or have to face the disturbances that are associated with the festival.

Holi is being celebrated on 17th March in many neighbouring state of west Bengal. Bankers can not go home to celebrate holi. People will face lot of problems while attending duty on 17th as state govt. announces holiday. Leave should be allowed under N.I. Act also.
