How can an A.T of a high school pursue M.Phil, while at the same time attending his/her school duties? As far as I know M.Phil or PhD cannot be done on distance mood. The school managing committee is not willing to grant the leave for pursuing these higher education.

@Riya chatterjee M.Phil, or Ph.D. is not a mandatory degree for school teachers. Hence, this sort of degrees or diplomas has not been provided any provision in case of acquiring professional degrees on deputation except B.Ed. Even M.Ed. does not enjoy the privilege of being granted permission to acquire on deputation in case of school teachers. So, one school teacher will have to manage on his own to pursue M.Phil, or Ph.D., or even M.Ed.

OK. So if an A.T still does these degrees while performing his/her regular school duties, will his/ her degree be approved in that case.

Oh, yes. Don’t you know there will be two additional increments for high school teachers on achieving Ph.D.? In that case you must keep the school authorities informed about your pursuance of Ph.D. Follow the link for the G.O.: /files/2012/01/37-SE.pdf. I am also uploading it for you.
