      I had taken leave without pay from 16.07.2014 to 30.06.2015 for my higher studies with the permission of M.C. Can I get notional Increment?. My date of joining is 21.11.2012…..Please help me.

        In case of extra-ordinary leave availed by an employee not for medical grounds :-
        (a) When the period of extra ordinary leave exceeds one month but does not exceed eleven months after 1st July of usual annual increment, the employee may be allowed the benefit of notionally.
        (b) When extra ordinary leave for one month to eleven months spreads covering the date of increment on 1st July of the year, the employee will be allowed the benefit notionally on the 1st July of that year but the actual benefit will be given after the end of extra ordinary leave and also counting the period of non-qualifying service spent on such leave taken together after duly condoned by appropriate authority prescribed in this regard.
        (c) In case of extra ordinary leave of one year or more, no benefit will be granted on 1st July but he/she will be eligible for annual increment with effect from the next 1st July of the year when he/she joins after spending the period on extra ordinary leave.
        @@@ You may be granted notional increment from 01-07-15 but actual benefit may be taken from 01-07-16.

            Mihir Babu…..After getting incremental benifit on 1st july 2014, an employee has taken extra-ordinary leave for 350 days from 2nd july,2014……Would he/she get increment on 1st july,2015..?

              As his/her EOL does not exceed 1 year, he/she will get increment notionally on 01-07-2015 (i.e., he/she will continue to draw salary as per present rate up to 350 days from the date of his/her joining after EOL) , but actual benefit of increment will be given to him/her on 17-06-2016 (deduction of incremental bebefit of 350 days being completed on 16-06-2016). His/her next increment will be on 01-07-2016. Thats it.
