    Not eligible vide G.O. No. 37-SE/ES(S)/5P-37/2010, dated 05.01.2012. Here is the said G.O. https://wbxpress.com/additional-2-increm … -teachers/

    Dear friend,
You can expect to get the incremental benefit for Ph.D. degree if the research was done with prior permission from the school authority. Neither the Control of Expenditure Act,2005 nor the G.O. No. 37-SE/ES(S)/5P-37/2010 dated 05.01.2012 is now an embargo to the admissibility of this benefit. This is in the light of recent judgment rendered by the Hon’ble High Court of Kolkata in Writ Petition no. 4532 (W) of 2012 dated 04.07.2012(Chowdhury Moniruzzaman vs. the State of WB) and few such similar judgments in WP No. 5324 (W) of 2012 dated 19.07.2012 , WP No. 5239 (W) of 2012 dated 19.07.2012, WP No. 5847(W) of 2012 dated 25.07.2012, WP No. 6937 (W) of 2012 dated 21.06.2012. In the said judgments the Hon’ble HC has set aside the effectiveness of the G.O. No. 37-SE/ES(S)/5P-37/2010 dated 05.01.2012 and directed the concerned DI of School to extend the benefit of additional increments to the deserving teachers.
    With regards
