5. A 300 mm x 200 mm dia Tube Well is bored and yield test results obtained is 10000 gallon per hour at a draw down of 5 feet. The static water level measured with the help of depth gauge as 35 feet. What should be the type of_pumping machinery selected for obtaining water from the tube-well? Calculate total head requirement of the installed pumping machinery if the pump has to operate against a head of 20 Mts. Calculate also the rating of prime-mover if hydraulic efficiency of pump is 73% and that of motor is 92% at rated duty point. (20)
